In this issue: update & links
Web site recommendations: conferences/IT/politics/misc

Welcome back to E-LIST. No promises as to how often I will distribute new issues, but I do get positive feedback every time I do so I definitely want to continue. In the Fall I was super busy with tons of travel. Our Winter quarter will be over soon and I will resume heavy travel. You can see a list of upcoming destinations on my Web site: http://www.eszter.com (I will likely spend a few days in Paris after the trip to Zurich.) In the meantime, I am enjoying teaching my first undergrad class. I am also happy to be getting quite a bit of research done. In addition to continuing work on Web-use skills and digital literacy (still working on old data, but have some new data as well!), I also have projects on political blogs and how college students sample cultural products new to them. It’s all a lot of fun.

I have started posting links to interesting sites and services on my blog so if you are missing E-LIST, you should feel free to surf on over to my blog occasionally: http://www.esztersblog.com .

I have a lot of GMail invitations to give out, let me know if you’d like one. Also, see below for a link to a little program that lets you use a GMail account as a network drive for additional storage. Very nifty!

Now on to links: some conference deadlines coming up, some of my recent work, a few political pointers (fewer than usual) plus lots of fun (and useful!) stuff. If you see something others would enjoy or find helpful, please send it along. Readers Chris and Drago take the award for most contributions recently, thanks!
