In this issue: blog update
Web site recommendations: CFPs/IT/misc

In September, I had the good fortune to join a bunch of smart and interesting folks at a group blog called Crooked Timber. Since then, I’ve been blogging there primarily.
http://www.crookedtimber.org

It is a very active blog with several posts each day many receiving at least a dozen comments (if not several dozen) as readers get engaged with the material. I encourage you to check it out and make it a daily read.

And do keep sending me pointers to interesting Web sites, please. This issue has a lot of academic material, but if that’s not of interest, be sure to check out the miscellaneous links further down the list. Enjoy!
